So I'm sitting here in the lobby of a huge hotel in Atlanta, GA where our annual Bruster's meeting has just wrapped up. Honestly I dread going to these things, but once it's over I'm glad I went. There are lots of talented people that work for Bruster's HQ and even more very hard working franchise owners that are all trying to do the best they can for their customers, their staffs, and their business that they can. Just taking a day to be able to connect with other owners is worth the trip.
During the meeting there are some new initiatives that will get rolled out, new ways to entice our staffs, new training, new customer service initiatives. We try to figure out how to get you to visit us more and how to get you to bring some friends to the windows.
One thing that will be noticeable are the new products and flavors. We will soon have an Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich that is sold by the half dozen and are made in store, so you can get any of our ice creams in them. We're also officially adding the Brain Freeze summertime cooler to the menu and we have a new "Scoops" mascot cookie that we can make kids sundaes with. Then there's the new flavors... Classic Rocky Road, which was developed by our neighboring Gaithersburg, MD store. Mango Ginger is a little experiment, very fruity and unique. Peanut Brittle is new as is Moose Tracks and a seasonal Black Raspberry Chunk which is our regular Black Raspberry with Chocolate Chunks.
Once our food vendors get the ingredients we'll be able to make the new flavors and we'll find a Saturday afternoon where we make them all and you can stop by and try them all. Watch this site for details AND a video that shows all the new flavors.
We can't wait for an early Spring (thanks Phil) so that we can crank out lots of the best ice cream in Annapolis.
