Girls to Women

This week we bid adieu to two young ladies who we have watched grow from two young girls.  Jayshawn and Alexus are headed off to college and while we would like to say you'll see them next Summer, we know that the first year of college is a huge change and no one can predict where they will be or what they will do after that freshman year.
 

Jayshawn and Alexus were hired before the store opened in May 2008, they were 14 at the time.  They have grown as we have, together worked hundreds of hours for us, both been promoted to crew leaders and have worked for 4 different managers.  One of the things we try to do here at Bruster's is introduce young people into the world of work and help develop them into people that can have a positive impact in our communities.  We hope we have done that during the time we have had Jayshawn and Alexus.  We will miss them and we wish them the best in their college careers and their futures beyond.
