Fall into Bruster's

So now that we're into September it marks the unofficial start to Fall for us here at the ice cream shop. The bad thing is now that the weather will eventually get cooler and the kids are in school we will start seeing less and less of you, our customers. But the good thing is we have a really tasty lineup of seasonal products out now to try to get you to still come by and try something that you may not have had in a long time. Hot Apple DumplingWe have a delicious Hot Apple Dumpling topped with cinnamon sauce and our homemade cinnamon ice cream and we have a handful of pumpkin and apple ice cream flavors.

I first had pumpkin ice cream way back when I was in high school over 20 years ago. I was working at an independent fast food/ice cream shop in Upstate NY that did a lot of soft ice cream. In the Fall, this shop started making Pumpkin Ice Cream. I'm not really into the fruity ice cream flavors (I prefer chocolate and maybe peanut butter) and pumpkin always seemed to me to almost be a vegetable. I wasn't even a huge fan of pumpkin pie back then. Well tasting the pumpkin ice cream that was made back at that shop turned my tastebuds towards pumpkin. There's really something about pumpkin ice cream, it's just such a unique flavor with a nice spice that you don't taste that often. Like all of our ice creams, they are best right out of the batch freezer at their most fresh and most creamy. Pumpkin BlastWatch for signs that we have Pumpkin blasts available and you'll really love this extra creamy pumpkin treat.

It's also almost time for Pumpkin and Apple Pies and Thanksgiving. One of our Apple Flavors is Deep Dish Apple Pie which has an apple ripple and a cake crunch, delicious! In fact all of our Apple and Pumpkin flavors make really nice ice cream pies that you can share with your family. You can even free up some oven space at Thanksgiving and try a pumpkin ice cream pie instead of the baked variety. Pumpkin PieYour family will love the unique treat, especially if we get a warm Thanksgiving!  Feel free to order pies with these flavors and I've also asked the staff to have some available that you can stop by and pickup from the freezer.

Happy Fall! and we hope to see you soon.
