Off to College

Sunday we sent off three of our employees to three different Universities. They have all been with us for a while and they will all be missed. You might see some of them back next year or on breaks from school.

John is heading back to Salisbury for his second year. He worked on the windows for us and made at lot of ice cream. He was majoring in IT but now he's transitioning towards Communications. Good luck with year 2!

Lauren has been with us on the windows almost as long as we have been open. She's kind of quiet but was into a lot of activities including music and sports at Archbishop Spaulding where she recently graduated. She begins studies at Towson soon. Congratulations!

Joe has been with us since we opened after working for a time at that "other" frozen treat place down the street that rhymes with Pita. Joe has taken on more and more responsibility and grown into an Assistant Manager role at our store. He helped us transition between general managers this Summer. He recently graduated from the Key School and begins engineering studies at Drexel soon. Last Summer I was out front literally digging in the dirt when a customer stopped me and asked if I owned the place. I thought to myself, "of course I do, don't ALL business owners toil in the dirt in front of their business?" ...but I digress. Anyway this customer made it a point to tell me what wonderful service she had just received. It was Joe.

Good friendly people are hard to come by and we get a lot of compliments about our service at the windows. We are lucky to keep finding those great kids for the windows. Best of luck to our college bound folks and to those beginning another high school year!
